Yoga Alliance accredits the course. It provides all the fundamentals a new yoga teacher needs.

Curriculum Overview

Module 1: A Short History of Yoga
We speed through a few thousand years of history, focusing on modern yoga as we practice today.

Module 2: The Yoga Sutras
A summarised look at the sutras as often taught in teacher training programs.

Module 3: Basic Anatomy
Key elements of the body all yoga teachers should know when guiding others.

Module 4: Common Spinal Anomalies
Our special focus on the spine and how you can adapt to a student.

Module 5: Pranayama And The Anatomy Of Breathing
A traditional focus area and key to the practice of vinyasa.

Module 6: Fundamental Practice
Physical practice is the core of our course and the core of modern yoga. We start in the first week.

Module 7: Meditation
Science shows the link between mental calm and practice. Yoga is a discipline for both.

Module 8: Basic Nutrition
While not a formal part of yoga as taught, it remains critical to mind and body. A summary of modern research.

Chapter 9: Being a Teacher
Discuss the critical elements of guiding practitioners as opposed to being a practitioner.
